It is the job of the host/ess to greet arriving guests with a warm, genuine welcoming smile into the establishment and seat them.
The guests receive their first impression of the service of the restaurant by their exchange with the host/ess.
Responsibilities The responsibilities of the host/ess include monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, estimating wait times for guests, monitoring the guest waiting list, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting.
The host/ess is responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.
Minimum Requirements Being able to stand for long period of time Must have an outgoing personality, smiling and willingness of helping others Must have a multi-tasking mind, being able to handle phone calls, in-person guests while always remaining gracious and kind Must present sharp and confident Job Types:
